I painted this scene while I was participating in the 2021 Adirondack Plein Air Festival. This particular place was at the Ampersand Bay Resort just North of Saranac Lake. I was surrounded by families on their vacation taking a kayak or a boat on the lake on such a beautiful bright summer day. I couldn’t resist trying to capture the haphazard placement of the group of kayaks and boats just ready to take.
I painted this painting using Gamblin Oil paint on panel and framed with a 3″ surround Black Wood Frame.
