Reflections on Lily Pads

There are many beautiful ponds all over the Adirondacks. This is just one of many I enjoy painting. This particular one had a dark and moody blue that reflected the sky. The clouds above gave the impression of purple hues on the water between the lily pads. There were little details of life under the water that tried to poke through, accentuating the violet colors where the clouds were.

I painted this painting using Liquitex acrylic paint on archival “Edge” canvas framed in a gold floater frame. It is pre-wired and ready to hang as soon as you receive it.
