Cerulean Winter’s Morning

While snowshoeing in the Adirondacks, I couldn’t help but notice all the little details in the snow as the morning light glistens through the trees onto the snow. The sparkles, the shadows of the trees and branches and leaves, the colors changing by the minute cast onto the snow and last but not least, the tiny footprints barely visible in the snow. I can’t help but wonder what little life happens when I am not there. The mood of the morning light just helps illuminate these details. All the different blue hues falling onto the snow and how to describe it. The cerulean blue hues seemed to stand out for me. I hope to capture and share these hues in my painting.

I painted using Gamblin Oil Paints on Fredrix Blue Label Archival Canvas and I used Gamvar to varnish it. The painting is framed in a Black Gallery Frame and is pre-wired and ready to hang as soon as you receive it!
