The Best of Whiteface

Whiteface Ski area in the Adirondacks is a great destination not just for Olympians, but for the whole family. This particular day was right after a fluffy winter storm laying a carpet of at least a foot of fresh snow. The conditions were perfect! I couldn’t resist painting this scene to capture the best of Whiteface. It was very windy, so it took me a few attempts to paint outdoors in plein air to keep my fingers from freezing while painting.

I used Gamblin Oil Paint on Fredrix Archival Canvas Panel, varnished with Gamvar and framed in a 3″ Black Wood Frame. It is pre-wired and ready to hang on your wall as soon as you receive it!
