Blooming Water Lilies

This particular pond in the Adirondacks just glows sometimes. I wanted to capture the brightness of the cobalt blue hues reflected in the water. The lily pads looked like they were almost neon green.

The edges of the tall grass like stalks were waving in the wind so much, they almost curled, giving the scene a story like feeling.

I painted using Gamblin Oil paint on archival “Edge” canvas. The frame is a black floating frame.
