Wintry Morning Tracks

This painting was inspired by a cross country ski outing I had one morning in the Adirondacks. It was so peaceful to glide in the snow between the trees leaving only my ski tracks. I loved the way the sun peaked through the trees highlighting the snow with the pastel blue hues in the shadows and the little tufts of snow hanging on to the branches. The golden glow of the sun warming the distant trees and the touches on the sunlit snow made it feel so warm on this cool crisp wintry morning. I wanted to share that feeling of peace while enjoying the wintry day.

I used Gamblin Oil Paint on archival Fredrix canvas, Framed in a 2-1/2″ wide luxurious Gold Gilded Museum Frame. The painting is varnished with Gamvar and is pre-wired and ready to hang on your wall as soon as you receive it!
