While snowshoeing early in the morning, when the temperatures are below freezing, I couldn’t resist trying to capture that moment the sun peaks through the trees kissing the snow with that warm glow just for a moment. How quickly the amber colors change and that moment of warmth disappear back to the cool stark shades of blues and grays. I just love painting snow in its ever changing hues captured by the different times of day as the sun dances through the trees.
