On the Right Track

This painting was inspired by all my cross country skiing in the Adirondacks. This particular place has such intimate quiet solitude while skiing in the woods. Escaping the rush of busy life and just enjoying the softness the snow on the trees and the tracks for your skis to follow. Stopping and enjoying the soft pastel light picking up the little layers of snow as if it were brushed by the wind and other skiers before. I wanted to share that beauty the slower pace of cross country skiing offers with no crowds, just you and the tracks before you.

I used Gamblin Oil paint on Archival DaVinci cradled Wood Pro Panel and varnished with Gamvar. It is pre-wired and ready to hang on your wall as soon as you receive it!
