Boquet River

There are so many beautiful places in the Adirondacks and this location just happened to catch my eye as my husband was fishing nearby. It was a beautiful Spring day in May. The leaves were all new and fluttering in the breeze and the water was cascading with new life after all the snow melted. I was trying to capture that Spring feeling with clear skies and all that bright sunshine reflecting on the leaves and water. This was painted Plein Air, on the spot with my easel and pastels. There is something invigorating when there is limited time and light to capture and share that feeling.

I used Sennelier Soft Pastels on Ampersand Museum Series Archival Sanded Pastelbord.

I am offering the painting with a dark brown mat. It is ready for you to frame as you like to hang on your wall.
