Apple Blossom

This painting was inspired by a trip to the local Apple Orchard. The smell of sweet apple blooms filled the air and the blossoms were so delicate. I love the details of the varied colors of pink and peaches. To think this blossom will be pollinated by a honey bee and become a sweet delicious apple. I wanted to capture the delicate flutter of the petals in the sunshine. There is something about Spring flowers and the joy they bring after a cold and grey Winter.

I used Gamblin Oil Paint on archival “The Edge” canvas framed in a Gold Floating Frame. It is varnished with Gamvar and pre-wired and ready to hang as soon as you receive it.
