Sunflower Bliss

There is something about Sunflowers that just makes us happy, even on a gloomy day. There was no gloom when I painted this during the Adirondack Plein Air Festival on a hot August Summer day.  I could almost see the flower smile as it was reaching for the sky. It must have been about nine feet tall. I just loved how the yellow glowed with the deep green backdrop. Painting this made me very happy and I hope it will make anyone with it hanging on a wall happy too.

I painted using Gamblin Oil paints on archival canvas panel and it is framed in a 3″ Wide Gold frame. The painting is pre-wired and ready to be hung as soon as you receive it.
