Adirondack Sunset

No matter where you are in the Adirondacks, the sunsets are beautiful, but if you happen to take a ferry across Lake Champlain and look towards the Adirondack mountains to see all the high peaks all aglow as the sun sets. I couldn’t help but be inspired to paint the intense reds, yellows and oranges that made the mountains pop in front of a fiery glow behind them. These intense colors only lasted a few moments. I wanted to paint this moment so it could be enjoyed always on someone’s wall.

I painted this painting using Gamblin Oil Paint on archival DaVinci Pro Wood Cradled Panel. It is varnished with Gamvar and is pre-wired and ready to hang right on your wall as soon as you receive it.
